Fluke-Use spearing, squid, Peruvian spearing, sand eels, killies, Gulp! or
Spro between Outer Bridge and Perth Amboy sail boats, Triangle buoy
#52 & 53, Raritan Reach channel buoy 19 & 14, Keyport buoy #3, Atlantic
Highlands, Flynn's Knoll at Sandy Hook, TC buoy at ammo pier and by VZ
Bridge and Hoffman Island.
Striped Bass-From surf: Catching mostly at night and early in the morning.
Keansburg, Port Monmouth, Sandy Hook and Seabright. Use clams, bunker
heads, sand worms or blood worms. From boat: Live line bunker or chunk
bunker heads in Great Kills, TC buoy at Ammo Pier, Keyport buoy #1 and
buoy #14 in Sandy Hook channel. Jig with Jersey Jay's spoon or troll
Stretch 25, Polish Shad, Bunker Imitator or umbrella shad rigs.
Bluefish-Everywhere especially local beaches from Perth Amboy to Port
Monmouth. Use bunker chunks, mullet, or peanut bunkers. Use Tsunami
poppers at evening and night, Gators, Kastmasters, Hopkins or Avas during
day time and swimming plugs like Bombers, Red Fins and Daiwa SP Minnow
at anytime.
Ling & Sea Bass-At Sandy Hook reef, Scotland Light, Shrewsbury rocks
and Rattle Snake. Use cut squid and mackerel skin strip combo or Gulp!
ghost shrimp in any color. Drift until you find them, then anchor.
Crabs - Are everywhere near shore, docks, jetty and piles in the bay and in the Raritan river. Use bunker, chicken necks or old fish racks for bait.
Porgy-Season starts July 1st. 50 bag limit.
