Met my dad at the D&R canal in Kingston yesterday, put the boat in, 2nd cast, nice 2lb bass, looks like a good start. ehhhhhh, wrong answer, but thanks for playing our game, 100 feet in to the trip, trolling motor burns up. Paddled against the wind and current, hell with that, so we walked the bank for a bit with no bites, ran over to a local private pond and picked up about 1/2 dozen each, mostly typical NJ bass, right around keeper size. Still a good day fishing with Pop.
