quick question..,,

I fish near dams and spillways. If i catch a fish in the spillway, do i put him back into the spillway or into the lake/pond. He might be the big fish where he is. I just put them back where i catch them, but always wonder if i am doing the right thing. Those spillways aren't to big. Any ideas out there?

Good question. I don't have the answer for you, but I would release the fish to where I think it would survive the best. Just my opinion.

I wouldn't put a little fish from the spillway ino the lake-he'd be eaten in 2 minutes, i guess i will just put them back where i catch them-thanks for your input jim

The only fish I would release back into the lake are bass.... can never have enough bass in a lake... but thats just my take on your question....
