From what I heard, its not to Americans and Canadians eating and using it for bait, but because of over fishing them at all stages of their growth and sending them over sea for huge profits. Our breeding stocks are caught and sent away for $$$$$$$$. Watch you'll start to hear the commercial fishermen complaining soon.
