After eating way too much during the Holidays and having to loosen our belts. It is now the start of the dreaded “Cabin Fever”

To combat this winter downer, we must keep busy and get outside.

Here are some of my suggestions:
• Keep fishing the banks
• Go ice fishing – Only if the ice is thick enough and safe to do so.
• Go out on a party boat
• Go to sportsman and boat shows
• Service you rods; reels; tackle; waders; etc for the upcoming season.
• Make new rigs
• Make new sinkers
• Visit the big guys - Cabela’s; Bass Pro; Etc
• Visit your local small shops
• Make a list of what you need for the upcoming season
• Check out new fishing locations. It is a lot easier to check things out when the leaves are down and the ground is solid.
• Cook up the remaining fish in your freezer to make room for your new catches.
• Try smoking some of your catch, you’ll be surprised how good it tastes!
• Line up your fishing buddies
• Plan some fishing trips/vacations
• Play some of the many video fishing games

Have a safe and prosperous New Year and a great year of fishing!
