Locust Pond Description

Locust Pond offers some good action for Largemouth Bass, Chain Pickerel, Yellow Perch as well as Snapping Turtles for those interested. There is a car-top boat launch on the Northeastern most tip of the pond along Locust Avenue. There's not a lot of parking space on the pond(Approximately enough for 2-4 cars at most) however, there is a diner at the corner of Locust Avenue and Middlesex Road with ample parking. There are many submerged trees here due to the high poulation of very active beavers. The submerged trees provide what is probably the best cover for the Largemouth Bass. There are also the remaining stone support beams of an old bridge that once went over the pond which can also provide some good cover for the Largemouth Bass.
