After grinding out a few slow days in the heat we got our redemption trip in. We fished with Tom Pennimpede , his brother Anthony and Al on 7-10-12. After waiting 2 day for the right weather we made our way offshore. When we arrived we found the chick birds and a few slicks. We pulled a drift and were able to get a bite within the first 10 minutes we landed an over Bluefin, we moved up on the drift again and got another bite. We then got set up and experienced some of the best day time chunking I have seen. We were getting 2 and 3 on at once with a mix of yelowfin and bluefin. We landed our under bluefin and over bluefin and 7 Yellowfin. We released 7 bluefin and 1 yellowfin . The Yellowfin were 45 to 55 lbs and the bluefin were 55 to 100 lbs. We also had a Mako on for awhile on a mono leader. There were several other bites some got chaffed off during multiple hook ups and others we had pulled hooks or just missed bites. Great day with nonstop action bringing 17 fish to the boat. Diann also came along and got into the action. This was a day trip we were back at the dock at 1:00 pm.
