End Striped Bass Overfishing
The 2018 striped bass stock assessment found that the population is experiencing overfishing.
The Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (ASMFC) is considering management changes to end overfishing and begin rebuilding the striped bass resource to a healthy level.
The proposed plan includes reduced quotas, changes in bag limits, minimum sizes and slot size limits. There is also an option to consider mandatory use of circle hooks.
Take action today and tell the ASMFC that you support ending overfishing of striped bass.
