FIRST FISH OF THE 2016 SEASON

GOT OUT ON THE WATER FOR MY FIRST 2016 TRIP..STARTED AROUND 8AM---. WATER WAS 36 DEGREES..... CALM AND VERY CLOUDY... ( SOME SUN WOULD HAVE HELPED OUT) KEPT CASTING AWAY... DETERMINED TO LAND MY FIRST BASS OF THE SEASON AND REALLY DIDNT WANT TO GET SKUNKED... WORKED REALLY HARD AND AROUND 3PM **BANG** LANDED A VERY CHUNKY 2.5 POUNDER ON A JIG....FELT GREAT!! WORTH ALL THE EFFORT!!

Nice catch. You're a true die hard angler. Glad to see that someone is still getting out.

I will fish until there is ice on the lakes and I can't get out... i don't do ice fishing... did it when I was younger... just not a fan... I'll go on the party boats when the ice covers the freshwater lakes and fish for cod...
