Iona Lake - Tough to fish when weeds out?

Man guys I heard good things about Iona, but most of the time when i do, it is during the colder season. Now that all the weeds are out, i can't seem to locate the fish! i mean it's pads and grass everywhere. Managed to land a dinky pickerel and a massive crappie tho. Here is a vid:

Any good tips for here during the summer? or should i come back in the colder season?

Thanks bud, wish i had more bass/pickerels tho, but i'll be happy with the massive crappie
