Simple Home Made Catfish Baits
1. Start off with uncooked Hotdogs / Chicken / Meat that is old, freezer burned, spoiled. Some thing that you don’t want to eat. Of course you could use fresh.
2. Cut into approximately 1†cubes.
3. Place cubes into some type of container for mixing and storage purposes.
4. Add any combination of the below ingredients and mix well.
a. Jell-O Mix or Kool Aid Mix
b. Garlic Powder
c. Vanilla Extract
d. Anise
e. Canned Tuna Fish Oil
I usually use the small snack size zip lock bags to mix and store the bait.
Bait is best after marinating over night before using.
Finished bait can be frozen for future use.
I’ve even caught carp using this bait.
