Striper Season opens in less than 2 weeks in NJ

When will you guys first give it a shot?

Yeah it begins in less than 2 weeks but we are really not going to see any decent results until probably the end of March to the beginning of April.

You can get some fish up in Oyster Creek (run-off) in March. You are right, it will take longer else where. I would love to go Winter Flounder fishing the way we used to in the Spring. Miss that.

Yup and I wish I was close to Oyster creek because I`d be there fishing the 1st week for sure. So for now lots of fresh water fishing is on my schedule until my 1st surf trip scheduled the 1st week of April. I would love to go for Winter Flounder also but the problem is they`ll be around the same time Striper season starts...And everything else at that point gets pushed to the back burner...I wouldn`t mind going for Tog also but that fish comes in the same time that Rainbow Trout, Stripers, Blues and Black Drum are stealing the spotlight.
